Degaussing

Degaussing is a method of data destruction in storage media such as hard drives or magnetic tapes by applying a magnetic ﬁeld to change the alignment of magnetic domains within these media. This irreversible process makes it impossible to retrieve any data or to reuse the storage media. We choose to use only degaussers that are in the NSA evaluated list. The Garner TS-1 delivers maximum erasure to every area of the drive or tape, no matter how they are oriented in the media drawer.

Crushing

Using a NSA-listed hard drive destroyer with 10+ tons of force to bends, breaks, and mangles hard drives, including data platters and other internal components, preventing data recovery.

Shredding

Using an industrial grade specialized hard disk shredder to completely destroy storage media by turning them into small pieces, rendering the data unrecoverable.

Wiping
